iMac G3 Indigo 400MHz
My iMac G3 was sourced from Gumtree, a popular buying/selling site here in the UK. The guy had it up for £15, but upon DELIVERING IT he told me that £10 would be a better price! He also had a Beige PowerMac for £15 but I'm a 1999-current Apple sorta guy!
Anyway, I was surprised to find this Indigo being the 400MHz model... Most machines I have serviced are 350MHz Indigo's. I also usually find that these computers are scratched to hell, but thankfully, this one was used by a Graphics design company who had treated it well! For £15, I wasn't expecting much, but this thing is quite a fun toy to have. Those HK speakers, the 400MHz, Firewire, 320MB RAM and the colour are all my idea of the perfect iMac :')
For Mac collectors, the G3 iMacs are a staple... the machine that arguably saved apple from impending doom. People say that you're not a true PPC fan until you've owned an MDD... well I think the G3 is that machine.

PowerMac G4 MDD Dual 1.25GHz
I got my PowerMac G4 in October/November 2012. It was originally set to be part of the large Apple collection but became surplus to requirements and went into storage. As the company that owned the collection moved premises, I was asked to help clear out the storage area, and was allowed to pick something to take (they were downsizing). There were other G4's like the Quicksilvers etc and iMac G3/4's , but the MDD seems to have such a massive fan group that I decided I wanted it!

MacBook Pro 13"
My first mac!
Considering I mainly want this site to be about old macs, I wont bother posting this one. I dont think images of macbook pro's are that hard to find.

iBook G4 12" 1GHz
Given to me by a friend of the family who upgraded to a beautiful shiny White Macbook of 2010. She gave it with me with a dead/dying hard drive, with data to recover then erase. After saving the data, then physically destroying the hard drive, I had to replace it. The cheapest on Amazon was what I went for!
BTW - anyone who has to take one of these apart, good luck to you!

I got this for free from work. Very battered but was a great backup portable for the road. I took it on holiday and it was a great DVD player and general all rounder (I mean, if it was lost or damaged it didn't matter).
However, I fell in love with the form factor, so I'm looking for a better condition one!

iMac G4 17" 1.25GHz
Another work surplus, a beautiful 17 incher, replacing my 800MHz 17"
I bought it, in great condition (and of course, as I was overseeing the project, I had "certified" it. It came with the Pro speakers and great keyboard and mouse.
Interestingly, unlike the rest of my machines, the serial number on this one doesn't seem to tell me much. All I have found out is that the machine was "CTO" meaning it was configured and not the default machine. Another strange thing is that the build location cannot be found, although it easily shows up on my other macs.
This iMac G4 was one of the last iMac G4's to be built, in March 2004. Famously, Apple underestimated demand, and winded down production to ramp up iMac G5 production. Subsequently, G4 stock dried up long before G5's were ready.

iMac G4 17" 800MHz (NOW DEAD)
My first iMac G4, and what drove me to make this website. I got it in October of 2011, and it ran OS X Jaguar 10.2. I upgraded to 10.3 Panther, then 10.4 Tiger & 10.5 Leopard. Unfortunately, in early March 2013, after unplugging it, it would not start up. Reset the NVRAM, PRAM, and tried different cables and fuses. Nothing. It was dead. I had to open the computer completely, to try and diagnose it. I checked the Power-supply, disconnecting it and removing it (wanted to clean the dust anyway).
I then completely removed the modem board, and screwed the computer together. It gave me a long BEEEEEEEP tone, (meaning it had power) and went for the mac "bong" boot sound. After I knew it worked, I put the board back in, and it still worked! Remember, don't use the computer until you've re-greased the points

I bought it for £20 just because I wanted the boxed Panther copy! I therefore gave the iMac to my sister, but seeing as its my only 15" I still count it as being in my collection!

A dead model which was being thrown out at work, and I managed to fix it up! Just wanted a few new capacitors! It flies and its very good at ripping DVDs
