You can check your iMac to see if it still has the original serial number intact.
If you can read the Processor Speed (followed by MHz or GHz) skip to part 2!

There are 3 distinct screen sizes, which you should be able to identify easily. A square screened 15 inch model, a 'balanced' looking widescreen 17 inch model, and the largest widescreen 20 inch model.
Screen size is listed on the tag on the base of this iMac if you are unsure. |

Then, using the processor speed you got from the above steps, you can find out which model you have.
